For Chicagoland organizations that serve daily meals, we offer food that is freshly cooked, rooted in the culture and traditions of the people being served, healthy, and delicious. We respect the importance that food plays in our lives, and cook from a place of love.

TAILORED FOR YOUR NEEDS

Our menu options take into account age, nutritional needs, culture, allergies, food sensitivities, and dietary preferences. We can serve both family style and individually packaged meals, either the day of or the evening before.

LOCAL AND WORKER-OWNED

We are a Chicago-based women- and minority- owned business. We are structured as a worker cooperative, where every worker has the opportunity to share in the governance and profits of the business. The majority of our workers live on the South or West sides of the City. 

BUILDING A GOOD FOOD ECOSYSTEM

ChiFresh Kitchen is part of a collaboration of urban farms, food operators, worker centers, policy advocates, and other community organizations led by people of color on the South and West Sides of Chicago, who are coming together to promote food sovereignty, racial justice, and equitable food access in the City.

Our BUSINESS PARTNER

We are building off of the success of City Fresh Foods, a Boston-based social enterprise that has been providing wholesome meals in Boston for more than 25 years. We will be partnering to develop ChifFresh Kitchen's recipes, sourcing policies, operational practices, compliance practices, and more.

EMERGENCY FOOD RESPONSE

ChiFresh Kitchen is partnering with Urban Growers Collective to meet emergency food needs caused by the pandemic. We are preparing and delivering freshly cooked meals to families experiencing food insecurity.
